Opportunity Knocks For Businesses

Seize the opportunity to tell how Ohio's One-Stop Employment System can assist you with your business needs by taking a few minutes to fill out Ohio's online business survey. To complete the survey, visit https://OhioMeansJobs.com, select Employer in the upper left corner, then select Survey in the bottom right corner.

Save money through Project Hire for Ohio Businesses. If you have the opportunity to hire an individual who lives in Ohio or worked in Ohio, qualifies as an eligible dislocated/laid-off worker, and is in need of training to meet the requirements of the job opening, two programs are available to assist with training costs. On-the-Job Training - 50% wage reimbursement to the employer to reduce the extraordinary training costs associated with the individual. Short-Term Training - will pay the training costs of an individual to recieve a license, degree or industry-recognized portable certificate.

Save money through the Subsidized Employment Program. If you have the opportunity to hire an eligible individual in a full-time permanetn job or want to increase a part-time employee to full-time permanent status or prevent the layoff of a full-time permanenet employee, you may be eligible to receive a $1,500.00 maximum wage subsidy per pmonth up to three months. The individual must be a Belmont County resident, have a child in the home under the age of 19 who is in school or be paying child support and is in compliance with child support requireement, and meet program income guidelines. All eligibility and paperwork must be completed prior to the first day of employment for new hires.
