DESCRIPTION:Belmont County Safety Council Meeting - June\n\n\n\nThe twelfth & FINAL meeting of the FY15 Safety Council Program will be held on Thursday\, June 4th from 12:00 Noon to 1 P.M. at the St. Clairsville Rec Center. The cost of the lunch is $15.00 with advanced reservations or $17.00 at the door for walk ins. We ask that you make a reservation to ensure that we have adequate seating and food for all of our attendees and speakers.\n\n\n\nBeverly Westover and Jim Wirth of Careworks Comp will be speaking on How To Build A Successful Safety Process\n\n\n\nMr. Wirth serves as an Account Executive and Senior Risk Management Consultant at CareWorksComp.  In 1984 Mr. Wirth started his career in the workers' compensation/safety industry as the manager of safety\, security and workers' compensation for a large manufacturing company. He oversaw the modernization of the security and fire detection/alarm systems\, and was responsible for OSHA and other regulatory programs as well as the workers' compensation self-insured program.  He also developed and implemented many safety programs including a Drug-Free Workplace program.  More recently Mr. Wirth managed the safety program for a major third party administrator with over 16\,000 customers. During this period he conducted numerous safety process audits and reviews. He developed\, produced and distributed safety related videos for all group members\, created a Safety Process Guide with accompanying CD\, and initiated the Small Business section at the BWC Safety Congress\, of which he was chairman for three years.  He has collaborated with the National Institute of Safety and Health (NIOSH) in studies of the workplace\, and participated in national as well as local OSHA Alliances.   Currently Mr. Wirth's main responsibilities are assisting out-of-state clients with the review of their ongoing workers' compensation claims and rating history\, as well as safety and related regulatory issues. Mr. Wirth presents at multiple workers' compensation and safety seminars and reviews new products and services that are being offered by CareWorksComp or through the CareWorks Family of Companies.    Mr. Wirth is a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor in Health & Safety and a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Lifeline of Ohio.\n\n\n\nBeverly Westover is a Program Manager with CareWorksComp. She has over 18 years of experience in the workers' compensation industry\, including roles as a Medical Claims Specialist\, Account Executive\, and currently\, as a Program Manager. Beverly has a strong understanding of all facets of workers' compensation due to her experience working with the BWC (Bureau of Workers' Compensation)\, TPAs (Third Party Administrators)\, MCOs (Managed Care Organizations) and provider community. Beverly has worked with public and private organizations in all ten industry groups.  Additionally\, she has a successful track record of client retention and revenue growth.
