SUMMARY:Chamber Meeting - February 2016
DESCRIPTION:The February Meeting of the St. Clairsville Area Chamber of Commerce will be held on Wednesday\, February 17\, 2016 from noon to 1:00 pm at Belmont College in Horizon Hall.  The cost of the luncheon will be $15.00 with RSVP and $17.00 for walk-ins at the door.\n\n\n\nWe will welcome a speaker from the American Heart Accociation\, Valerie Piko\, along with Mary Velez from OVMC who will speak on wellness programs and health education resources.  They will also touch on the importance of CPR and AED education in the workplace.  Finally\, a good discussion about what companies can do to help keep their employees healthy. \n\n\n\nValerie Piko is a Division Director with the American Heart Association. Valerie started out as a volunteer on the Ohio Valley Heart Ball Committee and was excited to become a full time AHA employee when the opportunity presented itself. Valerie serves the Ohio Valley and Greater Morgantown regions. The Ohio Valley Chapter holds two large fundraisers each year   the Ohio Valley Heart Ball in St. Clairsville and the Ohio Valley Heart Walk in Wheeling. Valerie also works with companies on wellness programs and community health education.\n\n\n\nMary Velez is Community Outreach Manager at Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio\n\nRegional Hospital. After being wellness director for 18 years and then going on to other duties\, she\n\nis excited that the hospital is again rolling out a wellness program for their 1600 employees and Mary\n\nis spearheading this initiative. In addition\, Mary is the Director of the Matt Velez Save a Life Campaign.\n\nHer main focus is to insure that all schools and public places have Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and that all staff are trained in CPR/AED use.\n\n\n\nYe Olde Alpha will be catering.  The menu will include:\n\n\n	Blackened chicken\n	Teriyaki sirloin\n	Grilled vegetables\n	Roasted red potatoes\n	Cranberry salad w/ raspberry vinaigrette\n	Mixed green salad w/ Ranch & Italian\n	Bread & honey butter\n	Assorted miniature desserts\n	Iced Tea\, Water\, and coffee\n\n\n\nTo make a reservation\, go online to stcchamber.com\, click on the make a reservation button in the invite email\, email the chamber OR call us directly at 740-695-9623.
