Join the Belmont Soil & Water Conservation District for an Owl Prowl on Thursday, February 19th! This FREE educational program will be led by local owl experts Bill Beatty and Janice Runyan. We will begin with an informative indoor presentation about owl species native to Belmont County, including their physical characteristics, habitat, and calling patterns. We will then carpool to a nearby site for a short walk and a chance to hear and see these elusive nocturnal creatures. Hot cocoa will be provided by United Dairy, Inc. Please wear hiking shoes and dress for cold weather. We will meet at 7:00 PM at the Bethesda Village Council building, located at 112 S. Main St., Bethesda, Ohio. The program will be completed by 9:00 PM. Please call Belmont SWCD at 740-526-0027 to RSVP for this exciting program by February 18th.
