The seminar will cover
· Studies on hellbenders, massasaugas, and queen snakes
· Ephemeral wetland creation
· Promoting diversity in our ecosystem
· Awareness of land use practices that affect their population and habitat
· Benefits of best management practices
· How to get involved
Guest speakers include Greg Lipps, OSU Amphibian & Reptile Conservation Coordinator; Dr. Mark Waters, OUE Associate Professor of Biological Sciences; Joe Greathouse, West Liberty Professor of Biology and Oglebay Zoo Director; Rebecca Swab, The Wilds Director of Restoration Ecology; Brent Sodergren, Fish and Wildlife Biologist with the US Fish and Wildlife Service; and Mark Dilley, Founder and Co-Owner of MAD Scientist and Associates, LLC.
