Belmont County Safety Council Luncheon

The Belmont County Safety Council will hold a lunch meeting on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the J.B. Martin Recreation Center from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.  This meeting will serve as the third meeting for the 2014-2015 program year.  The cost of lunch will be $15 and advanced reservations are required to ensure that we have adequate seating and food for all of our attendees and speakers.  Any Walk-Ins will be $17.

The speaker for this luncheon is Larry Wilkin, Damage Prevention Coordinator for Columbia Gas Ohio.  Larry has been with Columbia Gas for 10 years.  He started as a screener for OUPS tickets in Damage Prevention Columbus, then transferred to Zanesville to work in the plant department installing gas mains and services.  He is now the Damage Prevention Coordinator to promote safety.  His love of safety comes from being a volunteer Fire Fighter for 30 years retiring as Fire Chief.  He is married to his lovely wife, Barb and their only kids are the cats and dogs.

His topic for this meeting is the Columbia Gas CARES program which is based on calling 811 before you dig and how to recognize the dangers of escaping gas and what to do in case of a emergency. CARES stands for C= Call before you Dig,     A= Allow required time for marking, R= Respect the marks, E= Excavate carefully.


Ye Olde Alpha will be catering the luncheon.  The menu will be Lemon Chicken, Glazed Pork Tenderloin, Green beans, Goat cheese mashed potatoes, Tomato & fresh mozzarella salad w/ balsamic reduction, mixed green salad w/ Ranch & Italian, Bread & honey butter, Brownies, Iced Tea, Water, and Lemonade

If you have e-mailed your reservation and you do not receive a response, please try again as a confirmation email signifies that we have received your reservation.  To help us give the caterers adequate information to plan, please call, fax or e-mail info@stcchamber.com your reservation to the Chamber office as soon as possible.  Changes can be made up to Tuesday, September 2nd.  We must invoice any reservations made and not canceled by Tuesday, September 2nd, will be invoiced at the full luncheon fee to cover cost of catering.  Even if you have prepaid for lunches for the year, please make a reservation.

Please remember that your CEO must attend any one of the twelve meetings in the program year and must sign-in as the on the CEO line.
